My great-grandparents were Henry and Mary Canty from Camden,SC.  They relocated to Hartford,CT an had five children;  Arnold (my grandfather, also a notable jazz musician), Carl, Emily, Marietta (a noted black hollywood actress) and a fifth child whose name I dont know.
